Cupid's Trick

Right now I'm lying sprawled across my bed in pyjamas drinking a massive home-made mocha.. It's half one in the afternoon and I LOVE lazy sundays.

I figured I'd start my blog now because it feels right for some reason :)

So i'm 2 months into my holiday from university and I've worked a lot and earned some money and pretty soon I'm setting off on the trip of my life (so far.) my flatmate Donna and I, (below) are heading across Europe, starting in Italy and heading through Slovenia, Austria, Czech Republic, Germany and Holland.

We're pretty good at having fun together and I hope to see amazing things!  Any experiences to share or tips would be amazing.. We're leaving in 11 days!

Anyhow the last two weeks I've barely worked as the sandwich shop I work in is closed. My parents were also away on holiday.. It's been a hazy blur of movies with friends, barbeques, crazy car rides and general silliness. Met a new friend who is lots of fun to chill with and have the occassional smoke and get super giggly! I love meeting new people and totally miss uni during the holidays. Moving into our new flat just after we return from our travels, us four girls sticking together but not the boy as he wasn't the easiest to live with and I think he perhaps wants a more male atmostphere this year :P

I've been doing some reading during the holidays... Books I've loved include, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, by Milan Kundera, A Passage to India, by EM Forster and The Picture of Dorian Grey, by Oscar Wilde. I love how reading can genuinely shape your experiences of things. I wonder if this is just because I love it enough to study it or if this is a popular sensation?

I think once I shower it'll be time to head out someplace or do something because I start work again tomorrow morning!
